To Lake Anna State Park
Centrally and strategically located on the East
Coast, Lake Anna State Park is accessible from Baltimore Washington International
(BWI), Dulles International and Washington Reagan National Airports, located in
Washington DC. Byrd International Airport in Richmond, VA is an alternative to
Washington DC. All four airports are roughly an hour to an hour and a half drive
to Lake Anna State Park.
As well, Lake Anna is an easy one-day's driving
distance from more than two-thirds of the nation's population. If you are flying,
you will need a rental vehicle. Major rental agencies (Avis, Budget, Hertz, National,
Enterprise) are available, as well as rental facilities from local car dealers.
Lake Anna State Park is approximately a half hour drive from most accommodations
in Fredericksburg. Please plan for this drive time in accordance with the schedule.
From 95 North or South: - Exit 118 Thornburg - Travel west on 606 for 5
miles - Route 606 turns into Route 208W - Travel on 208 for 11 miles (you will
take a sharp left turn at Post Oak while traveling on 208) - Turn right onto Route
601. Travel 3 miles - Lake Anna State Park is on the left - Proceed all the way
down the park road until you reach the Lake.
