| White hand is the main turnaround checkpoint area for swim. This is where your support crew can wade out to you or you may wade in to the beach to get support. You must stop/start and get support at this area to be official. The red hand shows where the far turnaround is. |

The past few years the depth of the water was waist high on the beach side of the swim line and neck deep on the outside of the swim line. |
| The swim line. Athletes will swim in a clockwise manner,
keeping the swim line to their right side. One lap is
1,056 feet, one loop is, of course, 2,112 feet. Double athletes
will swim 12 laps and Triple athletes will swim 18 laps. Thw swim line is doubled for 2007 vice what we had in past years. |

Transition after the swim. There are showers in the beach house (where checkin and the kitchen area is) to clean off and change clothing. Your bikes will be parked outside along the fence. You will need to either walk or ride the bike up the hill to the start of the bike course (where the red hand points) and where the rest of the race will take place. This is where your crew has put up your tent/support area. |
