Team Application (pdf file) -- I have removed the application from the website due to the Double IRON being filled up. For those few of you that I have emailed the past few days, please get your app in soonest so you will be one of the people allowed to compete in the Triple.
Medical Form (Word Doc) -- Please download the medical form and send it in before the race.
Updated 8 February 2009 - I have removed the application from the website as the Double has closed with 20 athletes that will be racing. The ones that won't be racing I will move to the 2010 Race Page. For those Triples who I have corresponded with in the past few days, you need to get your application in quickly so you will have your spot at the start line. For those that were planning/hoping on racing this year, I am sorry. The past two years has seen a big jump in the amount of people interested in the Ultra Triathlons. Time to get another course desinged somewhere - I am working on that. Stay tuned for updates on that.
Updated 23 December 2008 - The applications for 2009 are loaded on the website for you to download and send in with your payment.
Like last year, we are setting a limit on the number of athletes in each race to 20, for a maximum of 40 athletes on the course. So if you plan on racing, please get your application with monies in early to make sure you have a spot at the start line. The first 20 to register in each race will get a spot.
The Double IRON triathlon should be a IUTA (International Ultra Triathlon Association) sanctioned race (as well as USAT sanctioned race) and we are holding seven spots for athletes chasing
the IUTA points series, as determined by the IUTA Board. The IUTA Board is undergoing an election with a totally new board being elected, so I have to coordinate with them to make sure which race will be sanctioned.
Our venue at Lake Anna State Park is a
great place to race, however to keep everyone safe we need to limit the number of racers. We had 37 athletes compete last year, up from mid 20's the past couple
of years. The weather was great, which brought out more vehicles pulling boats and jet skis than in past years. That and the services provided to the athletes
is the reason we need to limit how many we can have registered.
